Please note! We are moving our entire operation to our growing grounds in Loxahatchee Groves, Florida a rural suburb of West Palm Beach. This is stretching our resources and internet shipments may be delayed Orders since the pandemic have also been incredible and this too has caused us to run behind. Plant orders placed after October 30th most likely will not be sent out until Spring unless you live in deep south states . Some items such as Amaryllis will continue shipping out weather permitting until December 10th. During the interim we will be constructing new greenhouses, getting our plants maintained and propagated as well as our inventory corrected on the web site.
We may also sneak in some vacation time, and taking a brake from being weatherman all over the country trying to ship tropical plants up north in the winter. It turned out to be a nightmare last year for both buyer and seller due to the cold, and people not understanding you can not ship tropical plants in 55 below zero weather. They are not heated during transportation to your post office and often lay out on an airport tarmac. We should be somewhat back to normal by mid February with several new greenhouses to house our collection and streamlining our shipping. As always our internet shipments are shipped from Loxahatchee Groves (rural coastal West Palm Beach) African violet orders over $15 not shipped within 21 days will be accompanied with a free gift. We greatly appreciate substitution lists. Shipping tropical plants in the winter and heat of summer can be tricky. We use Wunderground.com for our forecast and to determine if it is feasible to ship. We do not ship when night time temperatures are under 40 degrees or day time temperatures over 94 degrees. We need 4 days of suitable conditions unless customer is willing to take full risk. We know you are anxious, and we do not like to hold up our space either. We just try to do our best with the situation
